THE COLLECTIVE is a Black-owned organization and consultancy group led by Janelle Brady, Ezi Odozor, and Dr. Shawnee Hardware. The collective provides diversity, equity, inclusion and justice (EDI&J), anti-racism education, anti-oppression and capacity-building professional development and consultation to a wide range of organizations. Our work is grounded in grassroots, communal principles and practices. Former and current clients include CBC Kids, ACTRA, TCDSB, and Greenwood College School. Our associates have also led and collaborated on projects with the Peel and Toronto District School Boards, the University of Toronto, the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, and the Child Development Institute.
